P.T.O.C.Yemen Research and Studies Specialized in an exclusive report revealed that the Houthi militia has transformed 20 foreign embassies in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, into military headquarters, weapons stores and security operations rooms, in a flagrant violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961.
The report, which was based on private field sources and satellite pictures, explained that the Houthi terrorist militia took advantage of the immunity of diplomatic headquarters to store weapons and ammunition, establish operating rooms, house military and security leaders, and turn some of them into military barracks and intelligence centers.
The report indicated that some embassies turned into heavy and medium weapons stores, including missile fuel and drones, while other embassies were used as communications and espionage centers, and headquarters to hold high -level Houthi leaders ’meetings.
The report also revealed the use of some embassies as housing for Houthi leaders, weapons manufacturing headquarters, warehouses for looted funds, and centers for investigation, arrest and detention. The center considered that these violations represent a war crime that requires international accountability, stressing the continuation of the Houthis in challenging the international community and violating international laws.
The Center called on the international community to take immediate measures to stop these violations, hold those responsible accountable, and protect diplomatic headquarters in Yemen, stressing its commitment to continuing its efforts to uncover and track all those who contribute to the continued conflict and actions that hinder the path of peace and threaten the security and stability of Yemen and the region. /P>
